Dance theatre of Harlem

Recently I went to see the dance theatre of Harlem at a venue called 'Jacobs pillow' and it was absolutely astounding! They did several classical pieces, a few contemporary routines, and, the greatest of all: James Brown en pointe! It is their signature piece, and I could watch it over and over! I was amazed.

Welcome--First Position

Welcome to LuvBallet!! My first post is going to be about a movie that I saw not so long ago: First Position. If you have not seen it yet, you must..! It follows several young Ballet dancers through their experience competing in YAGP (Youth American Grand Prix).
